It all started when my friends introduced me to David Holme’s infamous ‘Shake Ya Brain’ club night in Belfast over 15 years ago. That night, along with ‘Choice’ opened up a whole new world of music that I’d never heard before and instantly fell in love with and inspired me to get into djing. Initially inspired by Detroit techno and Chicago house I have progressively widened my horizons and got into the more glitchy, leftfield side of electronic music also, taking in electro, idm and dubstep. Through my obsessive love of vinyl and djing i have been continuously posting up mixes of all different types of genres of the electronic music spectrum on the internet which have gained me some attention world wide, which has led my mixes being broadcast on various radio stations, posted on blogs and various websites. Having played all the major clubs around Northern Ireland and supported many top producers and DJ’s I have in the past promoted nights in Belfast and Leeds which included a residency at ‘Darkside’ and co-run ‘Grub’ with Boxcutter. I currently co-promote as one fourth of Pressure and am resident DJ for Space Dimension Controller’s night Basic Rhythm and play regularly for the Acroplane label/club night.
